Hey guys. Im making a move from residentioal and commercial repaint into higher end new construction. Does anyone have any handy techniques they wouldnt mind sharing to mask off door hinges before i spray them? the doors are fairly large, about 9 ft. tall and i would prefer not to take them off and remove the hinges if possible, but past experience is shown that a little paint leaks through onto the hinge, causing more clean up time, also when people open and close the doors the tape separates. I'm sure there is a better technique for taping them.. thanks..

That tape looks time consuming and expensive for one time use. We use hinge magnets and love them.
Youtube vid I did a terrible job making, but you get the idea. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rw1OE6Ofsyg Hinge Mag site http://www.hingemag.com/ |
