I am looking to educate myself on epoxy floor coatings and concrete issues relavant to coatings. I'm searching the American Concrete Institute and the Conctrete Repair Institute as well as SSPC but am unsure the best material. Does anyone know which publications/resources I should spend my time and money on?
Any info to advance my epoxy knowledge would be great. Thanks Travis |

Travis,
Sorry, I haven't been on the message board for a while. I attended a decent class from our local paint store (Farrell Calhoun Paints). I don't think they are in your area yet, but they had good information. Let me know if you're still interested and I'll get some information for you. Hope you and Gavin are doing well, Art |

Hello Guys,
A great resource for concrete floor coating education is to attend seminars at The World of Concrete show. The show usually takes place in Vegas in January every year. They put on some good basic concrete flooring seminars. Some of the coating manufacturers have booths, but not all. You'll also want to see who has hospitality rooms going on, so you can meet other people in the industrial flooring biz. It's great, because you can learn from experienced, non-competing contractors from all over. |

Travis,
Both S/W and B/M will show you great systems for floors. We have been very pleased with both companies. We had a great PDCA meeting tonight with OSHA and talking about requirements. They are stepping up enforcements, since they are mandating 40% more penalties from the field. This was straight from the field officer's mouth! Beware! Hope all is going well. Joel |
