Friday morning starts with a Lift Certification course.  Richard Drennan, District Safety Trainer with Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. will lead the class. It will include a nine-part presentation with explanations of OSHA and ANSI regulations, types of equipment, control familiarization, how to inspect and operate each type of machine, worksite hazard identification, and accident prevention. Several videos demonstrating correct user techniques for different machines, control functions, and other topics will also be shown.  A quiz will be conducted to conclude the classroom section utilizing the safety guideline booklet that is included as part of the course.  After the class portion is finished there is a hands-on checkout conducted with students demonstrating machine operation proficiency.   A harness with safety lanyard will be required to do machine operation check out on aerial lifts.  A separate registration fee will be charged for this course.  We hope everyone will take advantage of this certification course and send some of your key crew members to get the certification.  Lunch and the trade show will be included in the registration fee of $125/person.

Concurrently, a seminar titled Estimating with Today's Technology will take place. The Instructor, Fred Yarur, will present the course. Fred has been a software developer and educator for the Painter's Estimating Program (PEP) since 2006. He leads weekly training classes with painters and estimators around the nation. Fred frequently covers topics relating to calculating pricing, determining production rates, designing digital carbonless forms, and optimizing for increased closing rates.

We live in a world where technology is advancing all around us. This couldn't be more evident than in the area of estimating and estimating software tools. Join Fred as he discusses estimating and leveraging tools to increase accuracy and efficiency. The class will examine how to calculate production rates and establish standards based on those rates. The rates will be integrated with digital carbonless forms. He'll also show how the results of this estimating process can be used to wow clients with interactive presentations.  This course is appropriate for all types of paint estimating: Residential, Commercial, and Industrial.

The MAC Awards Lunch follows the morning seminars and after that we’ll enjoy the Trade Show with exhibitors from all the major paint manufacturers and sundry providers in the Middle Atlantic region. This is your chance to see the newest products and services available to help keep your company profitable and on the cutting edge of innovation.  Door prizes will be distributed throughout the afternoon, so you’ll not want to miss a minute of it.
