L.E. Travis, Jr. PDCA Craftsman of the Year Award

The L.E. Travis, Jr. PDCA Craftsman of the Year Award recognizes the finest painting and decorating craftsmen, based on nominations by PDCA member contractor-owners.

PDCA honors up to six (6) individuals each year who demonstrate through their work the highest standards of painting and decorating craftsmanship. Although the terms "Craftsman" and "Craftsmanship" appear to be gender specific, there is no intention whatsoever for that to be the case. To the contrary, these PDCA awards are designed to recognize the most highly skilled painters in the "world," irrespective of gender, age, national origin, or any other qualification aside from those set forth.

The selection of the terms "Craftsman" and "Craftsmanship" were selected based exclusively on the thoroughly ingrained nature of the terms and their globally recognized meaning and connotation.
